This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of food and food service products to our customers. As a delivery driver, you will be the face of our company, building relationships with our clients while ensuring their products arrive on time and in perfect condition.

The Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods via tractor-trailer or straight truck on various routes, complying with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

• Engage professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers to accurately address questions and concerns.
• Work collaboratively with the team to best serve the company.
• Conduct pre/post trip safety checks and ensure all equipment meets company safety standards.
• Report any safety issues and necessary repairs immediately.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company policies regarding safe driving.
• Verify that all freight is loaded securely and properly.
• Perform item counts and verify invoices corresponding to loaded products.
• Drive according to predetermined delivery routes and schedules.
• Unload products and transport them to designated areas within customer facilities.
• Inspect delivered items for damage and address issues per company policy.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all equipment and freight are securely locked and protected.
• Maintain cleanliness in the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers.
• At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and finalize necessary documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assign.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Aged 21 or over.
• Meet all relevant state licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Successfully complete a road test.
• Hold or obtain a valid DOT Health Card.
• Capable of lifting and moving freight of varying sizes and weights, typically between 10-35 pounds, with some items reaching up to 60-90 pounds, as required.
