Job Description
The Kendal Corporation (TKC) is seeking a seasoned and certified
Project Manager (PMP) to lead and coordinate complex, cross-functional initiatives across healthcare services, IT, information security, and operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer and working within the Information Services department, this role is pivotal in ensuring project alignment with HIPAA regulations and, for New York-based affiliates, compliance with NYDFS cybersecurity mandates (23 NYCRR Part 500).
The ideal candidate is a master communicator and planner, capable of identifying risks before they arise and keeping diverse stakeholders across a federal system aligned, on task, and on schedule. This individual excels at translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences with clarity and empathy, fostering collaboration without condescension. They are highly adaptable, able to shift gears quickly, and maintain momentum even when deliverables change or face risk.
Key responsibilities include leading cross-organizational projects, developing and managing project charters, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and coordinating with NY affiliates to ensure cybersecurity compliance. The Project Manager will facilitate cross-functional working groups, track performance metrics, manage risk registers, and produce documentation to support HIPAA and NYDFS audits.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in information systems, Health Informatics, Project Management, or a related field, and possess a PMP certification. Additional certifications such as CISM or HCISPP are preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience managing multi-stakeholder projects in regulated environments is required, along with hands-on familiarity with HIPAA and NYDFS cybersecurity regulations.
This role demands strong project management skills using PMI or equivalent frameworks, with flexibility across Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement, risk assessment capabilities, and proficiency in compliance documentation. Familiarity with healthcare systems, EHRs, and medical terminology is essential, as is a deep understanding of healthcare data privacy concerns.
Soft skills are equally important: the candidate must be analytical, organized, and an excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams. If you are a proactive leader who thrives in complex regulatory environments and enjoys driving impactful projects, we invite you to apply and join TKC's mission-driven team.
