A law firm is seeking a Senior Tax Attorney in San Francisco, CA. This role involves supporting the estate planning department with complex tax planning strategies and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and research skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Advise clients on domestic and cross-border tax matters.
Counsel on income, estate, gift, and other taxes.
Conduct legal research and analysis.
Prepare memoranda on tax liabilities.
Provide strategic guidance on tax planning.
Represent clients in tax audits and disputes.
Prepare and review tax documents and agreements.
Review financial records to assess tax obligations.
Stay updated on tax law changes and advise clients.

Requirements

Juris Doctorate degree.
Active membership in the California State Bar.
Expertise in Federal and California state tax law.
LL.M. in Tax or related concentration preferred.
Experience leading client meetings and managing communications.

Education

Juris Doctorate degree.

Certifications

Active California State Bar membership.

Skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Excellent command of English.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to manage a team and mentor others.
