Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Saint Paul, MN
Caseload Type: Multi-categorical (mix of case management and direct/small group instruction)
Grades: Elementary, Middle School, and High School
Shift: 7:30 AM 3:30 PM (Full-time)
Pay Rate: $40.00$45.00 per hour
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers to join a supportive public charter school in Saint Paul, MN . There are multiple full-time, on-site openings available for the 20252026 school year across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Middle and high school positions are the highest priority. The ideal candidates will be passionate about inclusive education, experienced with diverse student populations, and skilled in both instruction and case management.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and small group support to students with IEPs
Manage a caseload of 1015 students (1520 for lower-need students with fewer services)
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt instruction and curriculum to meet individual student needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and service providers
Maintain accurate documentation and consistent communication with families
Participate in IEP meetings, school-based teams, and professional development
Use data to monitor progress and adjust instruction
Requirements:
Valid Minnesota Professional Educator License (PEL)
Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
Experience with multi-categorical caseloads and small group instruction preferred
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Must be available to work on-site in Saint Paul, MN for the 20252026 school year
